The admissions procedure for BSc PPLE involves three rounds:

Submit the application form and upload transcripts, personal statement and CV (deadline 1st February 2023)
Test, study plan and financial plan
Interview (online)

The admissions procedure for BSc Business Administration
and BSc Psychology includes a selection test in February/
March or April, respectively.

Numerus clausus for following courses

BSc PPLE is the only course at UVA that requires a numerus clausus since it only accepts 200 students per academic year.

Important information regarding the application

Application deadlines for programs such as Business Administration, Psychology, and PPLE are on 15 January and 1 February,
respectively.

All applications in the Netherlands are processed through the Studielink platform. We suggest starting your application as soon as possible, particularly if you are applying for programs with limited enrollment (numerus fixus).
Applications deadlines for Psychology, Biomedical sciences and
Computer Science are on 15 January and 15 December, respectively.

How can I find accommodation?
Most students can get a room in a shared flat or studio from
their university for their first year at university. You then have
a whole year to look for a room off campus. There are various
possibilities to find a room off campus:

our RLA Facebook groups to find a room through and maybe
share with other Luxembourgish students
public Facebook groups for student accommodation in the
city you are interested in
private student dormitories such as the Studenthotel, StuAMSTERDAM dentexperience or Ourdomain
private/shared flats via www.studentenwoningenweb.nl or www.room.nl – find a private/shared flat via an agency (be aware of agency fees). In this case, it is always more useful to first have a look at some apartments on www.funda.nl or www.pararius.nl.

The society

Welcome to RLA, Roud Léiwen Amsterdam! Although we were only founded in 2022, we have seen a massive gain in popularity in the past year and are looking forward to meeting even more Luxembourgish students. RLA is all about laying a foundation for future Luxembourgish students who choose to study in Amsterdam and still want to connect with compatriots.
We support all Luxembourgish students during their studies in
Amsterdam. We also provide additional groups for all Luxembourgish students in the Netherlands such as LSNL Carpooling or the old LSNL Facebook group where we share other important information. We are happy to help you if you need any assistance with your application or to connect you with fellow Luxembourgish students in the programme you have chosen.
We guide any Luxembourgish student who is starting their life in Amsterdam. On our website, you can find our “Study in Amsterdam” section, where we have answers to the questions we are frequently asked by Luxembourgish students, and which includes useful tips to get your life in the Netherlands started
without any trouble.
We organize many events for our students. As a committee, we
have decided to combine casual brunches or “Stammdëscher” with bigger events such as a freebeers, a boat tour through the canals of Amsterdam or the annual “Daf”. Last year we founded our own futsal team which plays once a week and plan on further expanding the sports branch in the coming years. Besides local events, RLA also participates in ACEL events such as the “Tournoi de Noël” and the “Studentebal” and plans on organizing more events within the whole society.
