Costs
For Portuguese and European Union students, the tuition fees for 2025/2026 will be 697 €/year. They are usually paid in two installments until September and December, respectively; or, as an alternative, in ten installments. An additional 36.5€ fee is required to cover administrative costs and school insurance. This amount should be paid together with the first tuition installment.

The tuition fees are based on actual costs, which vary according to each courses’ needs of equipment, facilities and laboratories.
At Católica the credit is used as the basis for calculating the student’s tuition, which will be paid according to the number of ECTS corresponding to the curricular units (subjects) in which they are enrolled in that semester (60 ECTS / year).

The indicative value of the annual fee for the 2023/2024 academic year for Bachelor’s and Integrated Master’s Degrees at U.Porto is 697.00 euros (+2 euros for school insurance) for national students and/or equivalent.
If you have International Student Status, note that the value of the tuition fee / annual charge is set by each U.Porto faculty, according to the real cost of the course. In these cases, students from countries that are part of CPLP – Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe, and East Timor) may benefit from a reduction in fees up to 45%.
